Are those cheaper Lenovo and Dell i7's with older generation CPUs worth it for $400?

I have a basic i5-2320 desktop from Lenvovo that I paid $300 for about 3 years ago. I want more speed, and this computer is slowly failing on me. Are those $400 i7 desktops with the slightly older CPU specs worth it? I thought about going for a $1000 i7 barebone deal but the cheaper OEMs seem nice. I don't game but do basic CAD/CAM but want more speed and a new PC since mine is slowly dying.

Or are those cheaper discount desktops POS? What's the consensus on them?

New graphics card for an Lenovo ThinkCentre M57?

I need to buy a new graphics card for my Lenovo computer. My BIOS is Lenovo ThinkCentre BIOS Ver 2RKT54. The computer has a 280 W poer supply. My motherboard is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M57 (pretty old). I need a new graphics card that my motherboard would be compatible with. I really want to be able to run Mirror's Edge more specifically.

Lenovo Y50 won't open anything?

Haven't been on my Lenovo for awhile so the first time I go back on after a few weeks, I need to update. But I can't even do that now since a ton of things have popped up, so at some point I accidentally decline the update & now none of my programs will open up. I can't go into my control panel, or settings to fix things. If I click on anything else, games, Internet, literally any program, a window pops up saying "Windows can't access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item." I can't even power off my computer on the desktop because there's no power options anymore?! Literally can't do anything on my laptop, highly frustrating.
How can I fix this problem? I just wanted to play games on it. I really don't do anything else on it.

New Lenovo Erazer x315 running slow?

I recently bought a Lenovo Erazer x315 and it hasn't been as fast as people have told me. I can barely run battlefield 4, battlefield hardline, and counter strike: global offensive at 60 fps at medium settings. I've had the computer for a couple days now and I'm pretty sure everything is updated as well. Can someone tell me what's the problem?

I7 4th or 5th gen for video editing?

I'm thinking about getting a new Lenovo desktop to edit videos and am wondering if it's worth the wait to get the 5th gen i7 towards the end of the year or the 4th gen i7 now at discounted prices?

What computer is best for minecraft?

What computer should I get for my son? He wants a computer for basic Internet surfing but mostly for minecraft. I promised him if he got straight A's I'd get him a better computer for minecraft. So here I'm.

The first one is a laptop-
It's an acer aspire e i5
It has a Intel core i5-4210u processor

This one is a desktop
It's a Lenovo h50 4160
It has a Intel core i3-4160 processor

This is also a desktop
It's a Asus m32adu
It has a Intel core 13-4160 processor

All of these have 1tb of hard drive.

I want to know which one of these computers will run minecraft the best for him. He plays by himself as well as on servers full of people.

What Lenovo computer should I get?

I have the Lenovo T430s right now, but the exterior is breaking now… I'm pretty sure they don't repair it anymore since they don't seem to sell it anymore. Anyways, I was wondering what kind of computer to get? I like the Lenovo system, but the choices are endless. I don't really have a price limit as long as it is ridiculous considering I spent around 2k on the one I have now… So I guess something less than that. My only requirements are something with a long battery life and good performance. I would really like something that works fast and can also prevent pop ups which I have been getting even with adblock. I can't find anything wrong with my system, so yeah. Anything would be great! One last thing: I would also love if it was on sale. I believe there's a sale going on till the 11th for Valentine's Day. Thank you!

Added (1). I'm sorry! I sounded really repetitive just then. Thanks again.

Added (2). I was hoping for a specific computer… I'm not too great with computers and which to choose

Why does Windows 8.1 hangs up so badly?

I have genuine Windows 8.1 pre-installed on my new Lenovo G500s laptop. I always keep it updated but I still don't understand why it hangs up so badly everytime.

Its so unrelaible… Takes 5minutes to bootup, 5 minutes to shutdown, when you click on some folder it takes 2 mins to open, u click on close button… It'll say not responding… And will close after 2mins.

Did microsoft delibertately included this super-delay, super-lag, feature as *new feature*.

My desktop which runs on XP boots up in 17secs… Shuts down in 10sec… Is far much faster than 8.

I did registry cleanup, I did disk-cleanup… Is there anything I can do to make it run faster?
