How to install drivers for my amd graphics cards?

I just got this lenovo y700 and when i went to the graphics cards properties it said no drivers were installed. So i went to AMD's website and downloaded the automatic drier detector and when i went to start it; it installed for about 30 seconds and then about halfway through my screen just went blank. I waited a good 30 minutes to see if it would come back on as i just assumed it was part of the driver installation but it never did. I tried several times and it always did this. I tried uninstalling the drivers completely and doing it all over again and it still does the same thing. WHAT IS HAPPENINGGGGGG UGH

Easy… Lenovo does not use AMD gpus they use only nvidia… You were trying to install drivers for something your computer does not have

You need the Nvidia drivers, not AMD. The autodetection tools aren't always perfect, you're usually much better off manually installing the specific drivers for your OS and GPU.
