How to repair a faulty ethernet port?

I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling but that did not work. I'm using Windows 8 and a Lenovo G50.

If the cable is good and when plugged in it is firmly seated and your not having and modem / router issues and you do have access to the internet… Sorry to say you may have to contact lenovo support…
