Just wondering is that a lot?_. If not, is there any way I can get something to possibly increase the amount of storage on it? Because I'm considering to getting into PC gaming more, not just your causual Sim 3 gaming. I really want to get Dark Souls 2, I know it's a difficult game, I know lol. But if I want to get more games in the future, I want to make sure I have more storage instead of having install it to play another game. Also remember to keep this more dumbed down terms because I'm only 15, while I'm more rather fimilar with technilogical terms, still not that smart lol.
Is 118 GB A Lot For A Pc?
Actually 118GB can be a lot depending on the games you want to download and play. Minecraft for instance, will download fine on it, taking up about 5GB, while games like Battlefield 4 or even GTA IV will take over 20GB per game, and 20GB a game at 118GB's you'll get maybe 4-5 games, and your PC will become incredibly slow. Like Real stated, you need the whole package. Building a gaming PC is cheaper and usually 100% more future proof (something like your CPU burns out, buy a new one, or your GPU gets outdated, it can easily be swapped), you get warranty through all of the parts through the company, and better quality, but if you are not experienced with computers or afraid of wrecking it, you can get good deals on pre built computers from companies. I would suggest Asus, Lenovo, Cyber power or even Alienware. Stay away from Acer or low end HP's for gaming.
To answer your other question, about whether or not you can upgrade this, yes you can 100%. You can get a USB stick, but its going to cost a lot and usually can't find one with more 64GB on it. The best deal you can get it by buying a external 1TB HDD or 3TB, or what ever you need and hook it up through USB and install your games, put music, pictures, etc. On it, and just use your old HDD for your Windows/ what ever, only downside is that they can get annoying carrying around, or if you have a desktop with an available Hard drive spot, you can simply install another HDD right into the PC and will be used the same way as a external HDD. Something like this would fine. http://www.bestbuy.com/...&cp=1&lp=5
118 GB these days is small amount of storage when buying a computer. But there are two kinds of computers you can buy today, one is with a regular hard-disk-drive (or just hard drive), and the second type is the solid-state-drive (SSD). These days lot of computers with SSD have lower storage capacity when buying simply because SSD is so much more expensive than regular hard drive.
If you want a cheaper computer, buy a regular hard-drive version, but it will be slower than SSD. For gaming, yes you will need a lot of storage, but it's about the whole package. You will need a high performance processor, lot of RAM, good graphics card, etc. Just look up "gaming computers" and you'll see what I mean, and check out its specs.
This is according to your usage. I think 118 gb is small go for 1 terrabyte.
I have 4tb or 4000gb…118 gb is minuscule and will lose it's purpose in short order. If cpu is used for email, basic word processor and internet viewing, then it may suffice.
118 GB is not a good amount. A good amount for a dedicated gaming machine is 1 TB (Terrabyte). If you wanted to upgrade your storage, you could just buy a hard drive on the internet (if you have a desktop computer).
