Are Dell Inpiron laptops reliable?

I'm looking at a $700 Dell In sip on and a $830 one. But I'm not sure if they are as reliable as Lenovo or Asus. What do you know about Dell laptops?

Better be. My 7 month old Inspiron has no problems so far. My 16 year old Dell Latitude still works, except for battery. My 3 year old Lenovo has had 3 video chip or motherboard failures.
