I was wondering if I could upgrade my Lenovo Z50 laptop from 8gb of RAM to 16gb of RAM. It is around 3 months old and I was also wondering if I could upgrade my graphics card. If I can upgrade either what is the best parts to get?

Yes, you can upgrade RAM on your laptop. Check the laptop specifications carefully, to see how much RAM can be upgraded & any empty slots. Also, 8GB RAM is enough for daily needs. You don't really need 16GB RAM, unless you edit high resolution photos / videos or do 2D/3D modeling
It's hard to upgrade graphics card in any laptop, since it's soldered to motherboard during manufacturing process
