A Lenovo thinkpad or ideapad are simply models of laptops made by Lenovo they tend to produce midranking laptops and business laptops. Chromebooks are a form of laptop but run a different operating system and tend to be less well specified in terms of memory and processor power. As they have limited storage they need to be connected to the internet to store any files you want using cloud storage. If you can't get an internet connection, they have limited use. They are OK for basic functions facebook watching youtube etc. They do have the equivalent of spreadsheets, wordprocessors, calendars, mail etc and can produce microsoft office compatible output. You can't run windows games.
Conventional laptops use Microsoft windows and can run Microsoft office and other windows games etc.Files can be save to a conventional hard drive in the laptop, avoiding the need for a constant internet connection.
None of the laptops listed will set the records in terms of performance. If funds are limited choose the Acer or the Dell, the acer has the larger screen, and the dell has a touch screen which is probably unnecessary. Avoid the HP it has a slow processor and a small hard drive
