Cyberlink Power DVD 14 won't play DVDs?

So I've had my laptop since Christmas and I've been watching movies and TV shows with Cyberlink since then and it never gave me a problem. Now, randomly, I went to watch a movie and when the Cyberlink thing opens, it stays on the welcome screen and freezes, and won't let me play my DVD. I've tried it with four different DVDs to see if they were the problem, but none of them worked. Can I fix this? I really want to watch True Blood lol. My Lenovo Ideapad came with Cyberlink, if that does anything. If I can't fix it, Is there another DVD thing I can download for free that actually works?

It may not be Cyberlink it may be the DVD player that is faulty. To check use another DVD player such as VLC or windows media player

First run Malwarebytes and your antivirus get rid of anything bad that it finds now go into your control panel find folder options find where it says unhide hidden files and folders click where it says unhide click apply click okay now use an uninstall utility or the uninstaller which is in the control panel to uninstall CyberLink powerdvd completely now restart your computer go into the C drive find program files and program data and the program data that is below it open it up and delete all of the CyberLink powerdvd folders all of them from all three folders restart your computer now go to the Lenovo site where it says software And download CyberLink you'll get it for free on the Lenovo site. After reinstallation you can go ahead and hide your folders again in control panel restart your computer and everything will work just fine

I would think that you are using Power DVD by Cyberlink. I doubt if there's a problem with that unless you have had a virus or hardware fault but as suggested try VLC a free Media player. However I think it is more likely you have a hardware problem with your physical player, so if VLC fails buy a new physical player
