We have to use laptops in school for various things and we have these thinkpads and they suck! But they are cheaper than other laptops and i was wondering if I could buy a decent one… And what would you recommend?
Does ThinkPad even make any good computers?
For my college, we all got Lenovo ThinkPad Twists. It is a nice computer which has a good speed and is also a tablet. (the screen folds into a tablet) It doesn't have a CD/DVD Drive… But it is a small sacrifice as far as I'm concerned since you can download most anything now. I think the new Freshmen this year got one called like a Yoga and it didn't seem too bad. It looked like it may be cheaper so if you want to check that out, I would also recommend it. They have some good ones your school probably just doesn't want to pay for them!
Thinkpad is just a brand name that was created by IBM, their line of laptops/computers were bought by Lenovo, who now own the 'Think' brand/line of laptops.
they do make pretty good laptops, but it depends on the model and components inside, if you buy a base model and need it for intensive processing, it's probably not going to be up to the job. Higher end components will help a lot.
this would be for any brand or line of laptops.
Think pad ae nuilt byLenovo, a section of IBM who made te first ever desktop machines. The whole idea of a cheaper model is to keep school expenditure down so they can provide all the equipment they need for everything else they do. And they are extremely reliable. You are not meant to be playing games on them, you are ment to learn.
Not anymore after being acquired by lenovo…
There intended for Businesses and Schools, so they probably won't do Gaming
but will perfect for everything else.
