I'm thinking about purchasing the i7 processor xps12 laptop (9Q33 model number) for school but i'm unsure if it is a good laptop or not. I'm also considering a mac book air or pro.
Besides that do you have any other good laptop recommendation (brands, experiences etc.)

Its a great laptop for academic use dell have always been my first choice although lenovo are a close second for durability and support!
I would recommend macbook because i always had bad experience with dell i.e heating problems after a long time. And as you know windows are always threatened with virus. If you want to use windows you can have it on macbook. Battery life of macbook is also very nice. So buying a macbook will provide you durable and dual laptop( mac osx and windows) as well.
