Press the wi-fi key.

Install Wi-Fi drivers first.

See owner's manual

Might be a switch on right side. Push to right to turn on, then chk Control Panel under Network Connections. See if Wireless Adapter is Enabled.

Front LH corner on the side, there's a little slide switch to toggle the Wi-Fi

Look on the front of the laptop or on the sides there's a physical switch if that's switch is turned off the Wi-Fi will not work

There are usually 3 ways to turn on Wi-Fi. The switch - most laptops have a sliding switch on the side or front of the laptop. The f-key sequence - almost all laptops have a BLUE Fn key which is used like a SHIFT key combined with a function key eg BlueFN+ F5 might be Wi-Fi on/off the BEACON ICON that looks like this ((o)) is the Wi-Fi f-key. And by right clicking the Connection and choosing enable - see control panel ->network connections. But there are things that also prevent it. Your BIOS can be set to disable the device. You could have been unable to install a driver or installed the wrong driver. You could have set a power saving mode which keeps it OFF. The clue is the Blue(or oddly sometimes white led indicator) if thats not LIT then the Wi-Fi is NOT ON. So make sure your Network Connections contain a Wi-Fi connection.

Thanksgiving a lot @sumon! WE had a good jour of Panic. Mine is a X61s Lenovo Thinkpad.

Thanks a lot @sumon! We had a good hour of panic. Mine is a X61s Lenovo Thinkpad. I run Debian on it (or Debian runs the compter) and it kept telling me that a material toggle put on the flight mode. But sometimes I don't see things in front office my eyes. Cheers Alena
