How to fix these problems after factory resetting my Windows 7 laptop?

-I have a Windows 7 Lenovo Think Pad laptop
-I factory reset it after it got a few viruses
-Now, the graphics are not what they were before the reset. The screen resolution is less than what is should be (the highest I can choose is 1024x768) and the screen looks a bit stretched.
-I can't connect to the internet, it won't give me the option to choose my wireless and type in my password. It won't even show a list of Wi-Fi options.

Is there ANY way to fix these things or did the factory reset just damage my computer this much?

The factory reset did not install the drivers for the specific model. Apparently they used a generic copy of Win7 fo the reset rather than one customized for you model.

Using another computer with access to the Internet, go to the Lenovo web site. In their support section find your laptop model. They should have a link to the downloads for that model. Get the video driver and the network (NIC) card drive for Wind 7. Download them, copy to a USB memory stick and transfer them to your laptop

Install the drivers and you should get back your Internet and the higher resolutions for your laptop.

Once the Internet is working, go back to the Lenovo site and download any additional drivers there are our there for your laptop. It is always best to use the correct drivers rather than generic ones supplied in WIndows.

Finally copy all those drivers to a USB stock, CD, DVD or other storage device so that should you ever have to reset the computer in the future you will already have the drivers.

Since you wiped all the drivers out, don't expect your adapters (video, wireless, ethernet) to work properly without reloading the latest ones.
Too bad you tried to cure viruses by destroying your computer's brain when a simple scan with Avast or AVG or Spybot or Malwarebytes or Trend Micro House call (all free by the way) could have done that.

I'm currently using an older ThinkPad that had the same problem. The fix was to utilize a flash drive on another system to download the network adapter, install it from the flash drive and use Windows Update to fix the rest. I also went to the ThinkPad official website to get some of the drivers that WU could not update. Now it works with no issues at all. Besides that, the ThinkPad website is the only place to get the Bluetooth driver for ThinkPads.
