How to turn my laptop into a gaming laptop?

I have a Acer Aspire 7739z-4804. It has a Intel Pentium P6200 CPU, Intel HD Graphics, 1 GB DDR3 Memory, and 500 GB HDD. My laptop is great for normal tasks like school work or just surfing the internet (basically everyday use) but I want it to be a gaming laptop. I have no idea on what it takes to turn my laptop into one and I prefer not to build a PC due to the fact I don't have much space for one and like being able to take my games with me easily. Does anyone have anything from the info they can tell me. Also my internet upload and download speeds are pretty great but due to the fact that my laptop isn't that good for gaming Its hard for me to stream or play games without lag.

You can't convert your laptop into gaming laptop. You should purchase a new one, You should go with Lenovo ideapad z series laptop, Actually I'm using Lenovo ideapad z570 laptop from last 3 years. Its working very fine. This laptop is very cheap and much faster in compare of others. You can see the specification of this laptop. And this will fulfill your recuriement…

The video card is primarily its downfall, and you can't change that. Adding some ram (to its max) 8gb if possible will help alot, but its never going to be a "Gaming" laptop, doesn't mean it won't be quite good at games

Best this is to upgrade your graphics card and you want really improvement then use SSD, or go for hybrid HDD. It will make your laptop superfast

Older low end laptop - It is never going to play modern games and although it can use more ram, it will not help gaming.
CPU rating is only 1338

But graphics is even lower rated and not upgradable

Your graphics rank is below Intel HD Sandy Bridge, so would be around #450

If you add 1GB matching ram stick that you can determine the specifications using Belarc Adviser and Speccy, you would improve the performance, but it will never run modern games.
You can't upgrade graphics, and it is not worth determining which 1st generation core i can be found and works, and it would have the same graphics anyway.
BTW: That model should have 4GB RAM by the factory specifications.
