Lenovo laptop cut off after being plugged into power supply and won't turn on?
Added (1). I had it turned on at the start screen and plugged in the power supply. The battery was already at half. The plug was already turned on when I plugged it in.

Unplug the charger and remove the battery. Then press and hold the start button for 20 seconds. Then try plugging in just the charger and see if the machine will start. If so, charger is good, if not, charger needs replacement. Once running, insert the battery and see if it is charging. If charger is good and battery does not charge, get another battery.
