So looks like my cmos battery on my laptop doesn't work and i need to replace it, but it looks like only my clock is affected by that.Im not in a hurry so is the cmos battery important for something else? Its 1 month like this and i haven't noticed anything else. My laptop is Lenovo y50.
Is the CMOS battery required for something else than the clock on my laptop?

The CMOS battery keeps the CMOS's information stored. This information includes date and time, and other BIOS settings such as boot device priority, and other BIOS settings.
It's not extremely important, but I would replace it. It won't damage your computer, but it can be kind of annoying.
