I have a lenovo x230 tablet laptop with windows 7. It starts up fine, gets to the login screen and I press ctrl+alt+del and enter my password. It takes a while at the welcome loading screen and then loads a black screen but the cursor is still visible. I've tried to pull up task manager but it fails and I've also tried removing my battery and holding the power button, but still no luck. Any ideas?

Could be your Hard Drive try and run a chk disk scan Right click your c drive and click Properties click Tools and under Error Checking click Check Now and set it to do a Full scan on a reboot and reboot computer.
