Lenovo IdeaPad U430 Touch Won't Start?

My Lenovo IdeaPad U430 Touch laptop will not start up correctly. Normally, it shows the Lenovo symbol and a looping loading symbol. Now it just shows the Lenovo symbol alone. The laptop also emits short, even beeps about 2 or 3 seconds apart while on this screen. It beeps exactly 30 times before then showing the following message:

What does it mean? Is this something I can fix at home or will I need to get my laptop professionally repaired?

This error normally means the hard drive has failed or has been corrupted. Less often a hard drive controller failure.
To fix it you need to test the hard drive, if it has failed completely it needs replacing and the operating system reinstalled. If the MBR has been corrupted then then using a Windows recovery/repair disc may fix it.

You need to be capable of removing the hard drive in the laptop - in this model the bottom cover has to be removed to reveal the hard drive. As you sound to be a newbie, take it to a local repair shop for them to do the work.
