My lenovo Ideapad laptop isn't turning on or charging, it doesn't recognize the charger when plugged in. School starts soon and I really need it fixed. I've already tried taking out the battery, that didn't work either;/

Sounds like the adapter power supply is not working, if the laptop LED does not come on when it is connected check out the adapter to see if the fuse in the plug is OK (if there's one) then the mains supply (try a different mains voltage item in the same socket) if you have a multi-meter then you can test the output of the adapter.
If that comes up OK then remover the battery and plug in the adapter if the laptop is OK internally the LED should come o and the system should power up if not then the issue is internal to the laptop and would need a tech to investigate. (could be costly)
