My computer isn't turning on?

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad, windows 7. I i try to turn it on, it'll say "0190 Critical low-battery error" beep a couple times, then shut off. I'm no good with computers. Can anyone tell me what I should do?

Charge it up or plug it into the mains via its adapter.

Low battery error means the battery has run down.

If you have charged up your battery or your laptop is plugged into the mains try this web page for more information:

The battery may need to be replaced. If this laptop is 2 or 3 years old, then a depleted battery is a possibility. You could take the laptop with the battery and the charger to a local computer repair shop, where they would be able to test the battery and the computer and charger to see where the problem is. You can get a new battery from them if that's the problem, or order one online. ( If you buy from them, you may not be charged for the testing of your computer/charger/battery to find the problem ).

Following steps may be temporary workaround to resolve this issue:

1. Unplug the battery/AC adapter.
2. Plug in the AC adapter first.
3. Plug in the battery behind the AC adapter present.
4. Power on and the message will disappear.
