I need an answer in about 20 minutes… Is this a good laptop? I need it for programming and school, but have never used AMD before, so I don't know how they compare to Intel. Can someone please tell me if I can program and do school on this…

AMD processors are as good as any. I have had them in several computers including this one with no problems.

I have seen this Lenovo laptop recently and was impressed with the build quality.
However I would want one with either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
Have read about many problems trying to updqate from Win 8 to Win 8.1.
Windows 8.1 is the newer, updated version which fixes some of the problems of Win 6.
The laptop I saw was a Lenovo with Windows 7 Pro, free AVG antivirus and Open Office instead of the "trial" versions of McAfee antivirus and MS Office.
This was at a local business supply store.
