Hi, I have been experiencing some problems with my (brand new) Lenovo Ideapad. I have had it for just over a month. When I switch it on, the normal Windows 8 login screen is replaced with vertical lines which take up the whole of the screen. I can't fix the laptop, because it won't display anything for me to see what is going on. (Obviously I'm typing this from another computer!) Just wondering if anyone knows if it is a hardware or a software issue and how to fix it.
Vertical lines appearing on a Lenovo Ideapad?

Your problem is caused by Windows 8 Now rather than me tell you how to fix the problem which I could do, I'll tell you to return the computer to where you bought it from. And ask for your money back… Then go on line to system76 and buy one of their computers and have Linux operating system installed on it… It will always be fast, it'll never get viruses and you'll never spend another penny of software ever again…

Fix it by returning it to the seller for repair or replacement.
