What is the Best laptop for an IT student?

It's capable of running multiple virtual machines (if that's something you'll be doing).
8gb RAM plenty for whatever you'll be using it for.
Go for an Intel but avoid Celerons at all costs.
If you get a netbook then make sure it can support 8gb RAM & upgrade the RAM when you get it.
