What kind of replacement screen will fit my laptop?

I currently have a lenovo y50-70 model number: 20378
Specs:

Processor
4th Generation Intel Core i7-4710HQ Processor
Display
15.6'' UHD LED Glossy (3840x2160) *(not sure about my display)*
Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M

The problem with the current screen is that it is in 4k and not 1080p which is awful for gaming. The scaling and colors are terribly ugly. Yellows look like mustard and the whole computer looks dim even after putting up my brightness all the way. Not to mention that the refresh rate is LOCKED at 48hz. After doing some extensive research this screen will not be saved with any kind of driver or bios updates. I would like to know what kind of screen would replace my current laptop. I have tried replacing it with the B156HAN01.2 but the connector from the laptop is too big for the replacement screen. I need some serious help with this because this screen needs to go! Any help?

It is a laptop, not a desktop. The GTXX 870M is a VERY low end video card BUILT into the motherboard. You can't force another monitor on there without connecting it to an external. You are not going to find a replacement screen for it. Even then, that GPU can only provide a very low frame rate. It is false advertising to call that a gaming laptop. You are stuck with that monitor.

The laptop electronics were designed for that screen, you should not expect to get a replacement for it to get a lower resolution.
Best choice is to get a different laptop.

Yes I know it is not a desktop. Despite 4k being sharp and all I don't like its colors, dullness, and locked refresh rate. I have already made up my mind on investing on a screen. If it is possible, I would like to replace it. If anyone has any more info that would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like these new UHD screens aren't for everyone. I would leave them for the 3D Photoshop people (they won't like the mustard yellow either). Games need higher bandwidth that 48Hz does not seem to support.

Some Amazon owners of Lenovo 4K UHD Y50 Laptops have the same complaints. Some are saying it is ok if you run it at 1080p.
You probably will not find an adapter. The technology is too different.
Someone talking about one in this thread - last post.
