My confusion lies between the processors. I will be using it mainly for Gaming (though not very high end… Dota2, FIFA, Batman etc games should run properly) and for processing data using R/SPSS/Qlikview.
Once I buy a laptop now I shouldnt need another one in 2 yrs. Is it possible with either one of these(or within my budget of 45k)?
Some1 told me that 4200M processor can be upgraded but the other one can't. Is this true? The price for both is the same but the lenovo laptop has better processing and Asus laptop has better power consumption. Any reviews from users of these 2 laptops will be helpful. Any other laptops i should look at other than these 2?
Which Laptop is better? Lenovo G510 i5 4200M or Asus XX064D i5 4200U?
The difference between the i5 4200M and 4200U is significant. M means 'middle-class' and you stands for ULV or 'ultra-low voltage'. In order for the 4200U to save energy, it is slower than the 4200M and integrates a less powerful graphics chip, the Intel HD Graphics 4400, while the 4200M uses the Intel HD Graphics 4600, about a 10% increase in performance. Lenovo G510 i5 4200M
Asus XX064D i5 4200U is the perfect PC to playing HD games. So i think Asus XX064D is better.
Get the Lenovo they are just better laptops with better quality and the lenovo enhanced experince makes a world of difference. Lenovo is really good quality and will last you way more than 2 years.
I have had for 4 years and after a fall down 18 stairs it still works like the day i bought it.
