Why does my sims 3 game say i have a graphic card problem?

I just got a new laptop for my birthday, it's a lenovo G50-80
it's supposed to be a gaming laptop but when i installed sims 3 it said something about verifying my graphic card or something, and then it let me push the play button on the main menu like everything is normal. But when the game loaded, instead of the town i saw a blank screen with some water from the town. The create a sim option worked, but i don't know why it won't show the town. I could play the game on my previous laptop and that one wasn't even a gaming one. Please Help ME I'M DYING TO PLAY THE GAME. I need to know if the problem could be fixed!

Laptops & Notebooks

Sims 3 can run on newer computers and graphics, even with Windows 10, but sometimes needs a little tweaking, depending on what the computer hardware actually is and operating system it is running on, so it knows how to use it what you have.

Your Laptop model doesn't tell us what's in it. There's a difference between a general laptop (with integrated graphics) and a gaming laptop (with integrated and dedicated graphics). Both use the same computer model number (Lenovo G50-80). Also, sometimes Windows puts in their drivers when manufacturer's drivers are needed.

It would be best if you post in the Sims 3 Technical Discussion. Techies there can tell you what info they need and how to get it for them, and since they can talk back and forth with you on that forum, which can't be done here, they can guide you through anything you need to get your computer and game running perfectly:

You can login there with your Sims 3 or Origin account (they are the same thing) and post this question there. You many not get overnight help, but please know your game can be fixed and will probably not be hard to do.
