Hi so I just got a lenovo ideapad 500S last tuesday that is 1.7 kg and worth 1.4 singapore dollars and I feel really frustrated about it. I believe it has a graphic card and intel core 7, so it should be able to play games. Furthermore the salesperson said I could play games on it like minecraft and league of legends so it should be fine. However, when I installed the game on my laptop the first day I got it, it hanged while I was loading the game, missing out on e game itself. However afterwards it worked perfectly okay and the graphics I think were top notch, except that it was making clicking noises that has continued until today. The next day, It hanged while I was on FB, so I had to restart the laptop. However I could still play lol smoothly, just that there were random clicking sounds. Furthermore, while watching youtube videos, I'll scroll through thd comments, and when I get back to the video it pixelates and lags but the audio is fine. After that, I decided to uninstall the game thinking that it was not suited for my laptop. But the clicking noises still continue and the youtube videos still lag after I go through the comments. I really have very little knowledge and I tried looking on e google of why this is happening but I couldn't really find the answer. So please help? Cos I'm desperate to have a working laptop that I can use for school and play lol at the same time, thanks~
Why is my new laptop so messed up?
How do I delete this question? I just realised my previous question was already posted haha
Are you letting it download all the needed OS updates before installing other programs? Or are you using the machine at the same time?
Not knowing what game you installed… Hard to say if your laptop can handle the game…
Not knowing what graphic card you have… Hard to say what game you can play…
As for you tube lag… Are we using Wi-Fi or are we wired to the router… Wi-Fi is slower… Also what internet speed package do you have…
No wonder it's messed up, it's just S$1.4!
It's new. Bring it back to the store and let them sort it out.
Make sure all your drivers and Windows are up-to-date!
Please google search
I had the same issue with my graphics card. I would play a game that would require 512mb of video ram, and when I threw rainbow six siege, It started making noises. What I did was reinstall the drivers for the graphics card and worked for me
Clicking? That is very wrong, damaged merchandize and get a replacement from store As soon as possible, it isn't a AS-IS sale is it?
You must be patient and allow the system configure the updates and download the updated drivers.
The main issue with W10 is the user logs on and expects miracles. Well that's not the case. W10 needs at least 1 - 2 hours to configure. No different from previous OS's which also take 3 - 4 hours post logon due to the fact there are 350+ updates to download & configure.
Once W10 has finished the installation and you are logged in and on the Desktop screen, locate the HDD light. You will notice the light to be illuminated or blinking and the Taskbar will flash periodically. Windows is now configuring the installation, meaning all Windows & accessory driver updates. Allow the system to run unimpeded until the light stops flashing (may take 1 - 2 hrs). If the unit is not equipped with a HDD light, allow the system to run unimpeded for at least two hours.
DO NOT attempt to update any drivers or run games, the configuration process is taking care of this. Do not RESTORE or REFRESH during this process as you may cause your system to CRASH.
You will run into issues if you do not allow for configuration such as programs not working correctly, internet freezing, slow jerky mouse movements, or sound issues to name a few.
Do not allow the computer to sleep or CPU to shut down. Change your power settings until W10 is configured
Restart
Now you must "Trust your PC"
Click on the Callout down by the clock (likely white) and click on the notification to trust your PC. Microsoft will send you a code to enter
Restart & enjoy…
MS has now dropped support for W8… The other two won't be far behind. W10 is not that difficult to master.

P.S.
I have updated 6 laptops & 2 desktops with Home & Pro. They are all purring like a kitten

Must be something loose inside your laptop and it's probably getting hit by the fans maybe? That's the only thing I could think of making noise.
Also how much is 1.4 Singapore in £?
