Why is my new Lenovo laptop randomly freezing?

I've recently bought a brand new Lenovo Edge 2. I've used it for about 2-3 weeks now. I notice that it RANDOMLY freezes, the mouse cursor doesn't move, the screen just stays still, any video's playing stop, any audio that was playing at the time it freezes turn into a harsh sound like a plug was improperly plugged into a very large and loud speaker.

Not sure what the problem is… Considering it freezes randomly. It gets quite annoying as it freezes in the middle of me using Skype, researching, and occasionally playing games with friends.
I bought this because it was a reasonably nice laptop that can be used in my college and has the power for playing any games or watching media.

Here are some specs:
Windows 10
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50Ghz 2.59GHz
8GB RAM
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.
Touch Support.
Has 2 Graphics Cards/Display adapters (Intel(R) HD Graphics 520, and NVIDIA GeForce 940M)

Please help. If you need any more information, just ask.

If it's brand new, take it back to the shop before attempting to repair it yourself.

It is most likely the operating system. The best solution is that you take it back to the store though.

If you are willing to format your laptop. I suggest you factory reset it. Windows 10 have that feature, which will reset your laptop like good as new. But All your files will be deleted.

Mine is doing this also and reformatting or taking it back is a bad solution, guys. What causes this and how do you get it to stop? Reformatting is only going to see this issue resurface. It needs an actual solution, not a blase "get a new one" answer.
