Ok so i'm trying to install windows 7 again after having ubuntu on my Lenovo Thinkpad T520 and it's giving me a problem. When i boot the Windows installation, after clicking on install now, a "Select the driver to be installed" Page comes up and it mentions something about a CD/DVD driver, even though i'm installing windows from a pen drive. How can i get it to work?
P.S.: The Hard drive is completely clean(no partitions and nothing on it) and i'm pretty sure i'm installing from a 2.0 usb port(my laptop doesn't have 3.0s and even if it did, i tried them all out T_T)
Windows 7 Installation
Quote: - no partitions and nothing on it. Answer:- It should have a partition on it, A windows partition formated to ether FAT32 or NTFS, Let me give you a little more advice before you install W7, If you do manage to install W7 the minute you go online Mickysoft will start the forced download of W10 on your computer so you can upgrade to W10. You being a silly sole will say oh goody goody and will install it, But before you do take Note the reason Mickysoft is giving W10 away is for financial reason. Come next September you will have to start paying annual subscription fees, and paying for other Mickysoft online services so be warned, Here is todays Financial News to prove what I'm saying is right >>> Making the Money make sense for Microsoft
In the short term, the new focus on subscriptions for the company. But in the long term, Microsoft stands to make a lot of money. The subscription-based model can earn up to 80% more over the lifetime of each customer. My advice is stick with Linux but NOT Ubuntu that sucks badly. Below are some web links for other Linux community distributions that I recommend you try out to see if you like them. Zorin Linux is great for new Linux users, it will let you have all the windows desktops at the click of the mouse button, Xp W7, Apple Mac OS/x and other type of Linux desktops Linux Mint KDE is what I use and Emmabuntus is like the Apple Mac desktop
There may be a setting in the BIOS or a problem with the way you have loaded windows onto the flash drive.
Rest the BIOS to defaults
Use either the wintoflash utility or windows 7 USB tool to create the windows 7 install
