Windows 8.1 restore or OneKey recovery?

I got a Lenovo laptop about 6 months ago and I've installed a bunch of stuff on it and blah blah blah. It's still working a-ok, but I want to restore it to get rid of Windows rut.

Now this laptop came with OneKey recovery, which apparently has a hidden partition with an image of the original system. So I can use it to set the system back to defaults, back to the way it was when I got it right?

But Win8.1 also has a restore feature that can allegedly reset my computer. But the thing is, my laptop came with Windows pre-installed, meaning no discs, nothing. Can I use this restore function WITHOUT any disks? And if so, will it erase the partition made by OneKey recovery? Will I have to reinstall drivers with the windows restore?

So basically which method should I use to reset my laptop?

I don't think the system restore thing will work well if you don't have the backup of OS.
try backing up system when your OS is in the best state with system backup tools, such as partitionguru, eassos system restore.http://www.eassos.com/eassos-system-restore.php
