New Lenovo X1 Carbon screen issue?

My company recently upgraded from the Lenovo T420 to the X1 Carbon and it's literally causing major headaches.

I extend my screen to a 23" monitor (LT2323p Wide) at 1280x800 and have never had a problem, but when I connect the new X1 Carbon the screen is slightly blurry and strains my eyes.

Do you know what might cause this, e.g. Refresh rate, et cetera?

You could go into control panel / display and see " if " you can up the refresh rate a notch…( I gather 60 hrz for refresh should be normal… Maybe there's a 75 hrz setting )… And I would assume 32 bit color should be normal as well…
