What should i do with this computer?

So my moms boyfriend gave me a computer he got from a friend since he couldnt pay him for the job he did for him. Its a Lenovo that has a monitor but it doesn't have a tower, like the tower is already in the monitor. Its running a windows XP and it has the key in the back to activate it. I'm actually using it right now for this question. But my question is should i update it to a windows 7? Would it be all slow? The computer didn't come with the CD to make the computer all brand new again so i can make it my own, the computer owner still has his stuff in it but he doesn't need it. Where can i order the the brand new Windows XP restart cd? I already have the activation key for it so that won't be a problem.

What type of RAM i should go for?

I'm having Lenovo Z460 which has a Samsung 2GB PC3-8500 DDR3 1066MHz RAM in one of the slots. I'm going for an upgradation. But the thing is, i find it very hard to get a 8500 - 1066MHz RAM.

So will it be ok if go for the next higher configuration RAM.say. 10600 - 1333MHz. Anyway it will run @ 1066MHz, rite…

And… I've referred the user's manual & it says…

Bus architecture - Hyper Transport Link 16 x 16
- A link Express 2
- DDRIII 800~1333MHz
- PCI-Express x 16

DDR III 800/1066MHz DIMM socket x 2 (max 4GB per slot)

Does this mean. Do i have to stick with 1066MHz RAM?

Grateful to any sort of help.

What is Lenovo AVFramework Native Server?

I'm just trying to disable unnecessary processes during start up and that is on the list of applications that are executed during start up. I want to turn it off if it won't affect anything.

Lenovo w510 power problem?

When I first bought this computer it came with a 90w ac adapter. It worked but everything seemed to be going kinda slow. So I bought the default 135w ac adapter. But as far as I can tell ever things still the same. Its still slow. I did notice in the Lenovo power manager that it said I had a 90w ac attached ever with the 135w plugged in.
Maybe i'm missing something? I updated all driver, software, and bios.

I don't want to return it since i got it for a good deal ($200). It has the i7 720qm if that helps any.

Lenovo IdeaCentre K430 & GeForce GTX 650 Problem, Can Someone

OK, so I bought a new video card and power supply for my computer. It's a Lenovo IdeaCentre K430, and the power supply I bought for it is a 600W. Now bear in mind, I troubleshot this to the best of my ability, but no matter what I try, when the new graphics card is plugged in with the PCI-E port occupied from the power supply, it just won't leave the boot up screen showing the computers maker, Lenovo, while giving a single beep every moment. It works fine with my old GT 620 card and even with the onboard HDMI port, but the new card. Computer says "Nope." Any help?

Added (1). Forgot to add this is a Windows 7 PC. There's no Secure Boot setting in the BIOS as there would a Windows 8/8.1 PC would

Added (2). OK, so I took it to a tech at my old job and we tried everything. What finally worked was upgrading the PC to Windows 8… I don't like it, but if it means better graphics, then I will deal for now.
