I got a Lenovo Yoga, Windows 10, i3, and didn't have this problem until recently. Basically, the pointer just freezes and I can't move it, then I click the screen (touchscreen), and then it disappears.
After restarting, the pointer comes back but only for 20 minutes, then the same process occurs. I have had this computer for 6 months now, and it only began a week ago.
Pointer keeps freezing, then disappearing?

I have the same laptop but a 15.4 inch with core i7. First clean your screen as a minor contributing factor. Second, don't use the touch screen that much. What it does is the software configures the input system of the mouse only through touch screen and have a hard time re configuring to previous system. Same goes for the Headphone jack btw. The second time you put in the headphone jack after pulling it out, it will no longer work.
