At my office I can attach my Lenovo Ideapad 100S laptop to the Canon scanning machine ( which is also a copy machine) and operate the scanner using the laptop. I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm referring to. Of course I first have to use the disk that came with the scanner.
However I have been wondering if I could attach a Insignia Flex 8" tablet (using an adapter from micro USB to regular-sized USB) and somehow get the tablet to operate the scanner. Anyone know if this can be done and how? I guess I would have to first use a disk to "attach drivers" to the tablet, but I tried using an adapter to attach the micro USB of the tablet to the regular sized USB of the portable disk drive but it does not seem to work.
If anyone ever tried this and was successful let me know how it is done.
Of course it need not be the exact same brand of tablet or scanning/copying machine.
How can I get an Insignia Flex * tablet to operate a Canon Scanning machine?

You would have to have drivers and software for the MFC Cannon installed on your Insignia.
Not many tablets have that capability or compatible OS.

There are some things that,
no matter how practical they may seem to be,
simply can't be done.
This is probably one of them.
