What graphics card can I upgrade to with my specs?

I want to upgrade my graphics card but i'm not sure what graphics card i can safely use without the computer not being able to run it and me wasting money. I do not mid how much money i spend on a graphics card though. All i want is to have a nice fps in game, and be able to run games at highest settings, if possible of course. Anyways here are my specs.

Processor: Intel(R)Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz

RAM: 16.0GB

Windows 8

Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600

MotherBoard: Lenovo 10181

P.S. I'm not sure if that is my motherboard or if i did something wrong. Please let me know and I will fix it.

With that CPU just about any card - depends on your price range. An affordable option is a GTX 760. A higher end one for a bit more are the GTX 970/80 (again depending on your price range). You will have to check your PSU to see if you'll have enough power, but first pick a card you like then state that on another question or something!

Depends how much you want to spend, however if money isn't a problem, a AMD 290x or GTX 980 will be more than suffice.

I suspect you do have the proper PCI-Express x 16 slot for any video card. However, hard to find out what power supply (PSU) size you have. To upgrade to any add-on video, you need to check that the PSU is large enough to power the video card. This list gives a general idea of PSU required vs standard video cards:

Generally, higher end video cards need a PSU of about 600-750W. Mid range cards can get by with a good 450-550W PSU.

Thus, before you go buy any video card, check your PSU label, to see what the power "output" maximums are. There should be a total "output" rating somewhere.
