Which Startup Items in my task manager can I safely remove (Windows 8)?

My PC is beginning to run a little slow, so I want to clean it up a bit. Which items can I remove that won't negatively affect my computer's performance?

Program (it's the only name and has a blank paper icon)
BitTorrent
Conexant High Definition Audio
SmartAudio CPL (32bit)
YouCam Mirage
PowerDVD RC Service
CyberLink YouCam Tray
MUI StartMenu App
Dolby Profile Selector
Dropbox
ETD Control Center
Intel Services Manager
Lenovo Energy Management
Lenovo Battery Management
VM331 StiMint

I think it is recommended to add more of your RAM just to be safe. If you use task manager to delete processes, you'll probably crash Windows, but will not change anything after the next boot. Better use the control panel. However, if you really want to terminate processes, you have to be certain what services can be safely terminated.
Go to: Start + Control Panel + Performance and Maintenance + Administrative Tools + Services
You can see a list of all services and a description of what it does. Using this list you can look at each service that has started and determine if it is necessary. You can also check this site https://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=designertechsoftware&e=com for better understanding of your software. This is where I got my software too.
