Is a GTX 960 a good GPU? I have a lenovo k330 desktop from 2011?
Four year old tech, not too bad. But better exists now.
A better question would be "Is a GTX 960 a good GPU in a lenovo k330 desktop from 2011" good for uses like ____ and _____ and _____ ? (you fill in the blanks)
If you can't google the card to find out for yourself then maybe you shouldn't have it
You really should have at least a 450w power supply for that card. If the PC has a 300w-350w power supply then a GTX 1050ti would be a better pick. The GTX 1050ti offers similar performance to the GTX 960 but the GTX 1050ti only consumes about 70w.
It's alright but it's showing it's age as It can play most any game at 1080p Medium settings. IMHO, I don't think it's a great card because the 6gb GTX 1060 is almost twice as fast as the GTX 960. I suggest reading some benchmarks.
Graphics cards prices are at an all time high at this moment of time. Cryptocurrency miners had wiped out the stock on most cards. Last week the Cryptocurrencies that can be mined with a Graphics card lost a significant portion of their value. The result appears that miners aren't expanding their mining rigs and some are trying to sell off the cards they bought a couple months ago. There's a good chance that you will find a better deal if you are willing to wait a month or two.
