I wanted to try out pc gaming and recently my brother gave me a gtx 660ti. It has 1 hdmi port, 1 display port, and 2 dvi ports. My monitor however has only a vga input. How can I connect the graphics card to the monitor?

The VGA carries video only. Audio is separate. You need a DVI to VGA adapter. They usually come when you buy them but since its used they likely won't have them. The link below is one for example
