How to calibrate a monitor on laptop?

Ok I'm a bit furious about this because this is not a new issue.

Problem 1: I need to calibrate it. Windows is offering a solution - that "questionaire" or what it's called, but it's relying on BUTTONS ON MONITOR.

I have no buttons on monitor. I can't change any values on the monitor.

Problem 2: even with basic things like the contrast, that I actually can change with the windows calibrating thingy, it looks like my screen is "Stuck" meaning, I change it, it stays changed for a second or two and then switches back to looking like before. Even when I push the contrast bar somwehere else and hit OK, the screen looks the same and when I start the calibration again it is set on the same numbers as before

so I have no idea how can I calibrate it, what do you suggest?

Added (1). I have a Lenovo G580, win7, graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M. (I don't know where to find the other stuff) I update the driver for graphics card frequently, everytime an update pops up (there's a program along with it, with alerts)

on the site of Lenovo there's no relevant driver for my laptop to this problem

As I said, I use a calibration system Win provides, it's a form of questionaire where you can adjust the values during those steps. Which doent work, immediately switches back.

Most laptops don't have the ability to be calibrated like this

Try updating your chipset driver and/or graphics drivers.it may allow you more options once you do… Cheers

I suggest you describe the laptop, its video system and driver, the OS, and what you are using to "calibrate." No good guesses can be made from that lack of information.

Tell us what brand monitor it is. All monitors made for computers have a menu driven method of adjusting them. You open a menu with buttons. The menus are software programmed like the soft keys on a phone. Windows is not normally used to adjust a monitor. Look up your monitor manual on line. Typically, you press a menu key and follow the screen to get to brightness, contrast, color and screen size.

Please describe the brand of your laptop, your operating system, driver, video system and your calibration way. After getting these pieces of information I can suggest you to calibrate the monitor on your laptop.

You may also try by updating all of your driver. This may solve the problem. You can easily get this driver from the website of your laptop provider.
