Lenovo and Asus were recently ranked 2nd and 3rd by laptopmag.com. They scored 80 and 79 points respectively, so you are unlikely to find significant differences between the two brands. Just pick whichever one has a laptop at the specifications and price you want.
Autodesk recommends the "highest affordable CPU speed". This would be something like an Intel Core i5 or even an i7 if you can afford it. They also recommend a display with a minimum resolution of 1280x1024. You should also get as much RAM as you can afford. 8GB is recommended for AutoCAD and 3ds Max, and Revit will use up to 16GB if you have it. I've linked the full system requirements below which you may wish to compare the specifications of your laptop to before you buy it.
If you wish to compare performance CPUs, this is a good site. Check the "Passmark CPU Mark" for the CPU (processor) you are considering buying: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/...u_list.php
Regardless of the label 90% come out of 3 factories
the brand is irrelevant as other than the name badge neither company makes a single part
you need 8 gig of memory a separate video card not the one on the mother board and intel i 7 chip if you can afford it
if not then a i5
if not then a i 3
but no lower than a i3
do not get a pentium, atom or celron processor
Lenovo, acc. To meme is better!
