My computer won't log on?

Every time I enter my password into Windows it loads forever and doesn't log on. Prior to this I did download a pirated software (yes I know I shouldn t have done this). I've tried turning off the computer and trying again multiple times. Is there anything I can do to log on without the computer freezing? I'm running a Lenovo ideapad i7 Windows 8 64bit.
