As the title says, my laptop, a Lenovo Y510p will not project to my VIZIO M43-C1 43inch 4k TV. When I connect it via HDMI port (to any one of five of the tvs ports) it will stay black and maybe occasionally show the desktop but with huge green and red blobs that static around and are just wack. It works when my friend uses his laptop and when my girlfriend uses hers. I have fully updated drivers on both my Nvidia Geforce GT 750m (which is capable of 4k) and my intel integrated graphics. I ususally use a monitor for my extra display so I know the HDMI port on my laptop is busted or anything. Anyone have any ideas? When its on the TV on the top it shows a bar with the input, resolution, time, Wi-Fi, and screen shape (wide, normal, etc) but the resolution flashes from 2160p to nothing. I've checked and my PC does recognize that it is connected to the TV and the TV recognizes it too. I would think its a display problem but as I said earlier, it can show my xbox one and 4k Netflix without any problems at all. Its only when I plug in my laptop. I've tried disabling my intel too but that didn't work. And yes I know how to tell my PC to duplicate or extend the displays. I've even tried changing the resolution on the tv and my laptop along with the hertz but to no avail. Thanks for any help. As you can see i've tried most so I would love some help.
My laptop won't project to a TV?

Are your friend and girlfriend using a different hdmi cord? If not then it is probably a problem with your laptop
