I'm trying to get a decently powerful laptop for graphic design and I've settled on either Lenovo's Yoga 720 or going all out and getting the Yoga 920 but I'd really like to know what their best sales are/at what times because I don't plan to get either if they're not on sale

The most powerful laptop for graphic design is always going to be an Apple Mac, that's what they were designed to specialise in.

All you can do is keeps your eyes on on several different merchant site and refresh them every 2 or 3 days. Laptop prices is always fluctuating and goes on sale often. If a newer laptop is like $200 off or more, check the recent reviews and get it if is good. You can wait for a bit longer but at that point, either the spec is not up to date and cause the price drop or it's a holiday sale.
