My brother is trying to get me to get an Asus, but I don't know. The Asus laptops are rather capable, however the size and weight of them really make me think twice. The price is good with Asus, but the outer design of the laptops make me hesitate. They're not what you would call "stunning" in design.
On the other hand, Sony Vaios seems to be stunning, yet rather expensive if I want one in par with the Asus' performance.
I've had rather bad experiences with Lenovo in the past so that's making me lean away from them, but are their ultrabooks good? I bought a Lenovo Laptop a couple of years for over $1200 and I really regret it. The performance was terrible and the trackpad is horrendous. Also the screen really drains your eyes. But i was wondering if Lenovo fixed those problems in the past years? Are the Yoga Pads any good?
What brand ultrabook to get?

Brand doesn't matter much. Every company makes good and bad laptops, which Asus were you looking at? The UX301 looks good to me. The Vaio Pro 13 is good, but I don't like typing on it, the keyboard flexes too much. Lenovo also has two different brands, IdeaPad, which is their own creation, and ThinkPad, which they bought from IBM. ThinkPads are very high quality, and the X1 Carbon is their premiere ultrabook.
