What is a good laptop under 800 dollars? (e.g., Netflix, Excel, PPT, Word, SPSS, SAS, Photoshop, video editing, browsing, little gaming, etc)?

Here are some recommendation that was given to me:

ASUS X540UA-DB71 Notebook

Acer Swift 3 SF314-54-552V

Lenovo IdeaPad 330s Notebook 81F5000EUS

what are your thoughts? Is there other laptops you recommend? If so, what are the pro and cons?

I had a Dell Inspiron Signature Edition (2015) and the hinge was broken off in year 2 and it was never dropped. So, I'm trying to find a good overall laptop under 800 dollars with great built quality, good battery life and good performance. Preferably 1TB Harddrive space, 8+ GB of memory, 8 generation CPU, 13, 14 or 15.6 inch laptop, etc

You can buy most laptop plastic lids or bottoms or hinge parts to repair a computer.
Dell makes good machines. Lenovo, not anymore. They bought IBM business and cheapened stuff up.
Acer, MSI, Gigabyte, HP, Asus have fine lines of laptops. But gaming on one will be disappointing without a discrete video card of the high AMD or Nvidia chip types. An SSD instead of an HDD would be better, as would more RAM. Many games can't benefit from the i7 multi-thread processing, so an i5 CPU is fine if almost same speed.
Of your examples:
The Asus has a 1.8GHz i7 8th Genchip, slow. Also an integrated (on the CPU) video unit, very slow for games. Has a large SSHD (hybrid version FireCuda from Seagate with 8GB SSD and rest is HDD).
Acer, almost the same, but a slower i5 8th Gen chip, same video, but has a small SSD.
Lenovo has the i5 CPU like the Acer, same integrated video, but has the SSD like the Asus.
