What is a Lenovo ideapad? Is it a laptop or something like a Chromebook?

The ideapad (for some reason they don't capitalize the name) is Lenovo's consumer computer. It has a wide screen and better speakers so it can be used for entertainment, as opposed to their more serious line, the ThinkPad.

It's a laptop, but the Chromebook is also a laptop. It's much better than a Chromebook, and also more expensive.

I have an ideapad. I love it except the touchpad is awkward, Actually it can be frustrating. But it has good power. I runs Windows 10. Chromebook is more for web surfing. If you don't have the internet it's pretty much useless

Its a RANGE of laptops which includes foldable tablet styles and thin laptop styles. Its is NOT a chromebook and comes with windows 10. 2nd hand ones may be sold without windows and may have a linux free os instead.
