Lenovo Yoga 720 overheating?

When playing graphics intensive game my Lenovo yoga has lately been overheating and causes my FPS to drop a lot. This didn't happen before so I'm not sure if one of the fans could potentially be out or if it's just the throttle limiter so the couch doesn't get too hot.

Lenovo Yoga's do not tend to have GPU's so it uses the CPU's GPU to process the games graphics. Since Yoga's are not made for gaming, they are not made to handle the load of games and will get hot and may cause thermal throttling. Your monitor should not support the high FPS either. If one of your fans was out, you could fry your computer so I would run it under a load and listen and see if it is spinning up. If not and it is under warranty, have Lenovo repair it as you did not break the fans in which case they will cover it. If it is not covered under warranty, you should consider replacing the fan in your computer or getting a new laptop that can potentially run Graphic intensive games.

Or, it could be that your fav game has been patched to require better quality graphics… Which you don't have

The processor may not be compatible with the game itself.
