I've been doing a college assignment which is ready for printing.
The thing is I've been doing the assignment on my widescreen Lenovo all in one computer, and when I put it on the standard computers at college the layout of the writing and pictures messes up, so that it looks completely different to how I set it out on my computer at home.
Is there a solution to this problem?
The format of the screen (widescreen or not) has no effect on the document. Click on the % figure in the bottom right of the Word screen and select "Page width". If the document is screwed up, something else is causing this.
What format are you saving in- doc or docx? If this is the case there will be no compatibility problems. If you have saved in pdf format, you can expect problems when you open it in Word. What version of Word is in each location?
Check at the Office versions on each computer, this just happen when you made a document on Microsoft Office and then open on a Star/Open Office.
The layout shown on Word reflects the default paper size on the default printer. Check that all computers are set to a single paper size e.g A4 or Letter and that the margins are the same.
