The tablet was plugged into the wall while overnight and we had a power outage. The power waas restored while the tablet was still plugged in and now it won't power on. No lights or vibrations. No signs of life at all. I have holding the power button for 30 seconds but still nothing.

Remove the battery and charger, if you can.
Hold the power down for 30 seconds, then tap the power button several times as if attempting to turn it on.
Put the battery back in, and attempt to turn it on.
This is the typical first thing to try for most electronic devices. It clears residual electricity that prevents many devices from working correctly.

This may be a malfunction of a defect hardware if there's really no sign of life you better contact Lenovo

Maybe you had a power surge or lightning strike that has caused some damage. If you can't get it to turn on then you need to take it to a workshop
