Is an AMD A12-9720 processor good for light gaming?

I want to save up for a laptop, and I was looking at the Acer one for $350 on Amazon but I thought maybe somewhere else had a better laptop for the same or lower price. That's how I found the Lenovo one, which is $310 and it has an 8gb ram and 1tb hard drive, which I'm sure is okay (I can play on low settings if I have to, I really don't care). But one thing I do not know about is the AMD A12-9720 processor. The most demanding game I ever plan on playing is most likely going to be Dying light and maybe Dead By Daylight. I also plan on playing Sims 4 here and there as well as Spore and Minecraft, which I feel like won't have much of a problem with low settings. Feel free to correct that if I'm wrong!

Added (1). I also hope to get Viva Pinata.

You could probably get by on the lowest settings of some older games like dying light, but not any modern graphically intensive game. Shouldn't have a problem with spore or minecraft, as those games have low requirements on graphics.

What you need to look for is it's graphics capability, not so much it's processor. Laptops have very weak GPUs to conserve power.

I'd start by looking at the game's specs:

The game designer's minimum requirements are usually barely playable, so I like to go with the adjusted requirements, but the minimum is a GTX 560:

Passmark gives that GPU a score of 3170. So look at this list for laptop GPUs that get a at least that score.

Your A12-9720 has only 1/3 the speed of the game's minimum requirements, so I doubt it's gonna run Dying Light.

Sims is designed to run on laptops with low end GPUs, so you'd have a much easier time finding a laptop that'll run it, but check the GPU requirements like I showed here. Spore and Minecraft also have very light GPU needs.
