Laptop does not turn on. What to do?

I have a lenovo G560 laptop with windows 7 ultimate. When I turn it on, there's firstly a white flash and then it is blank.
I have tried to remove the battery, press f8 and start it in safe mode, but it turns off after that. What can be the problem and what should I do? Is there a possibility that the operating system had crashed and if yes, how can it be resolved.

Why won't my Windows 8 Lenovo work?

I have a Windows 8 it's still on 8 instead of 10.

I was scrolling through and everything froze for a couple of seconds. I tried "X'ing" the tabs but it wouldn't happen; then I went to try and restart it but that wouldn't happen either.

Now, every time I "on" the laptop, it takes me to a window which says: automatic repair. It won't let me restart, reset, or use any of the advanced options. How can I fix it?

Did I accidentally download a virus?

I heard from a lot of sources that a download that ends with.exe is a virus. I downloaded something recently from a certified laptop website (a driver) but when it finished downloading, I saw that it ends with.exe and I didn't let it run. Is it a virus or not? It came from http://support.lenovo.com/...s/DS100467

Added (1). Thanks guys!
I let it run and my laptop is improved. They really ought to educate us about this.

New Lenovo Laptop - Removing pre-installed software?

I recently purchased a new Lenovo laptop. It's great but it came with so much pre-install crap. I need to know what I don't need and can get rid of. For example things like "Lenovo Solution Center" and other programs like this.

Laptop for studying engineering in college?

I need a new laptop for the end of high school and all 4 years of college where I might study engineering or something like computer science or some form of bio/chem science.

I heard that the Dell XPS series and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 are pretty good, but I've been wondering also about the Lenovo Yoga 3. I've heard good things about it from a friend but so far no person or website has suggested it as a good engineering laptop, though it seems to have a lot of really good specs.

Among these three, which sounds the best? Are any more good ones that I'm not aware of? I'm primarily concerned about computing power, though having long battery life and being lightweight are a must. Touchscreen would also be preferable. Any suggestions?
